Apple Files Lawsuit Against Samsung, Again

In an all out war against Samsung Electronics, Apple is raising the stakes in an escalating patent battle that targets the latest model Galaxy Nexus using Google’s growing Android software.

Apple is accusing Samsung of four patent violations in the new Galaxy Nexus, including features such as a voice command search function. The lawsuit was filed last week in San Jose. Apple is asking the federal court to block Samsung from selling its new Galaxy Nexus because of the infringement violations.

This is not Apple’s first attempt to sue Samsung; in April of last year, the popular tech brand accused Samsung of illegally copying iPhone and iPad designs as well as their screen icons. Although the case has not been settled, Apple lost the push for a preliminary ban against the Galaxy phone and tablets in December.

Samsung released a statement saying that the company is aware of the filing, but had no other comments regarding the suit.
