After 2 million Euros worth of Giorgio Armani haute couture was stolen, authorities in Bucharest have a group of suspects in custody. Ten citizens of Romania were apprehended there in connection with the crime. They are being detained for the merchandise theft, while the garments were recovered and confiscated by the Romanian police force. The items numbering 1,300 were taken from a trading location in Verona, Italy. WWD reported that they were then smuggled across national borders to Romania in December. The items were from Armani’s spring/summer 2013 collection. Fashion lovers all over the world are breathing a collective sigh of relief.
