Bethenny Frankel released a statement the Sunday before Christmas that she will be separating from her husband of nearly three years, Jason Hoppy. The announcement of the split came after much speculation about the status of their relationship. Bethenny became a well-known public figure after her role in The Real Housewives of New York. Since then, she has starred in a series of reality shows, based on her relationship with Jason. The road leading up to their marriage, while she was 7 months pregnant, was filmed for the Bravo show Bethenny Getting Married? Then their marriage was filmed in her show on the same network, Bethenny Ever After. Bethenny additionally hosts her own eponymous talk show, has
written four books, and created the Skinnygirl line of products including cocktail mixers.
She publicly stated that she was struggling to keep her marriage intact earlier this year, and expresses great heartbreak over their decision to divorce. Jason and Bethenny met in November 2008 at a nightclub, and were engaged 11 months later. The two have a 2-½ year old daughter, Bryn Hoppy, who they plan to co-parent amicably throughout the separation. They couple was married in March 2010.
