Gucci Makes Little Headway in Guess Lawsuit

We’d all assume that the Gucci empire could win a lawsuit against a smaller company in a heartbeat. Gucci’s lawsuit against Guess seems to show otherwise, as their claims of trademark infringement have been squashed and slighted since 2009.

Originally suing Guess for copying trademark designs, Gucci’s legal action only resulted in a small fraction of the company’s asking number. Naturally, Gucci was unwilling to settle, bring the argument to Italian, Chinese, and French courts. As of late, the lawsuit was tossed out by Italian courts, though it is rumored that the company intends to make an appeal.
