Justin Bieber is in legal trouble once again. An Oregon woman has filed a lawsuit
against Bieber, claiming that his concert incited fans to scream, causing her extensive hearing loss.
Stacey Betts claims in her suit that when Bieber climbed aboard a heart shaped gondola during the July 2010 concert, the device acted as a sound conductor as it moved over the crowd.
As Bieber glided over his screaming fans, Betts says the sound permanently damaged her hearing resulting in tinnitus, hearing loss and a sensitivity to certain sound frequencies.
Bieber’s record label Island Def Jam, promoter AEG Worldwide and Portland, OR concert venue the Rose Quarter have also been named as defendants in the suit.
Betts is seeking $9.2 million in damages.
So far, there has been no comment from Bieber’s reps about the suit.
