Justin Bieber and Usher came out winners in a lawsuit over their collaboration ‘Somebody to Love.’ Mareio Overton and Devin “the Dude” Copeland had sued the singers for $10 million, claiming the 2010 song was plagiarized.
U.S. district judge Arenda Allen threw out the claims. The judge wrote
that while the song of the plaintiffs did bear similarities, the mood, tone and subject matter were quite different.
Bieber has been plagued with several legal cases over the last few months including DUI charges, a vandalism investigation and also attack allegations from a photographer.
