Immediately after Chris Hurley, 36 year-old YouTube co-founder signed a confidentiality agreement at Kim Kardashian’s birthday party hosted by boyfriend Kanye West, he published a video of West’s elaborate marriage proposal to Kardashian at the San Francisco Giant’s stadium to the website MixBit. At least that is what the lawsuit filed Thursday by Kardashian and West states. The couple, who are constantly in the public eye, are furious over the leak of their private and sentimental event.
The court filing is even said to contain a photo of Hurley holding the signed confidentiality agreement. Furthermore, Kimye alleges that Hurley was not initially invited to the event, but had to “finagle” a way to be let in. The video is titled “PLEEESE MARRY MEEE!!! Congrats Kim and Kanye!” and is still currently up on the website, already viewed 1.6 million times.
The lawsuit depicts Chris Hurley as a struggling entrepreneur willing to do anything, even blatantly disregard a contractual restriction, to gain publicity for his fledgling website MixBit.
