Lady Gaga is
no stranger to lawsuits at this point, and now her former personal assistant (and friend) Jennifer O’Neill is dragging her to court for overtime wages. Reportedly, Gaga will attend court in November where a judge will determine if she is to pay $393,000 in damages, though Gaga maintains that she does not pay employees overtime (and they are aware of this fact upon accepting the position).
Mother Monster isn’t having any of it. In a deposition from August, Gaga claims, “She slept in Egyptian cotton sheets every night, in five-star hotels, on private planes, eating caviar, partying with [photographer] Terry Richardson all night, wearing my clothes, asking YSL [Yves Saint Laurent] to send her free shoes without my permission, using my YSL discount without my permission… It is, like, such an amazing luxury that I get to travel the world and have planes, she doesn’t even see what a
luxury it is.”
