NASCAR Chairman Brian France Ends Lawsuit Against Ex-Wife

Although their divorce became final in 2007, Brian France began a lawsuit against his ex-wife in September of 2008. The lawsuit was a result of allegations that his former wife, Megan, broke the terms of the divorce. He claims she did through the hiring of nannies, visitation rights and breaking the confidentiality clause.

As a response to her breaking the terms, court documents

show that France withheld $6 million in payments to Megan. Megan has also made claims that Brian, whose last reported assets are at about $554 million, was not as involved as a father in a way that she and their children needed. However, the case was dismissed on September 26th. Brian France attorney Johnny Stephenson said in a statement:

“The parties have voluntarily dismissed all pending litigation and amicably resolved all existing disputes on confidential terms that are consistent with the best interests of their children and their respective families,” “There will be no further public comment about these private matters.”
