Prada and MaxMara Face Off in Lawsuit

Prada has filed a lawsuit against MaxMara over the latter fashion brand’s inhabitance on the island of Waikiki in Hawaii.

Prada says that in February 2011, the company cut a deal with MaxMara to take over MaxMara’s space on Luxury Row on Kalakaua Avenue. The agreement was set to go into effect in July, but in June MaxMara allegedly backed out of the deal. Subsequently, Prada filed the suit.

The lawsuit seeks millions in damages for breach of contract and breach of the covenant of good faith.
