A pair of aspiring rappers robbed a Laurel, Maryland recording studio only moments after recording a tribute to Chicago gangster King Larry entitled, “Larry Hoover.” After leaving the recording studio, around 1am on November 8th the men returned to Copy Catz studio armed with guns. They instructed three studio employees to sit down in a group, and then took cash and any items of value. The studio suspects that the men may have recorded the song as a way of gaining access to the studio in preparation for the robbery. They did not
have a prior appointment, but knocked on the door while another group was recording. The police do not have identifying information or a fingerprint trail for the rappers turned robbers, but have released the track from the studio with the hopes that someone will recognize their voices, and provide a lead.
