Tracy Morgan Sues Wal-Mart over June Car Crash

Comedian Tracy Morgan is suing Wal-Mart over his car crash last month. The celebrity was seriously injured in an accident involving a vehicle owned by the company.

Comedian James McNair was killed in the accident and comedian Ardley Fuqua and Jeffrey and Krista Millea were also injured. The lawsuit claims Wal-Mart was guilty of negligence when a driver of one of its tractor-trailers crashed into Morgan’s limousine van.

The lawsuit provides more details about the crash, claiming the driver was awake for over 24 hours. He was driving 700 miles from Georgia to work in Delaware. Morgan’s camp contends such conditions were unreasonable. It has been reported that the driver fell asleep at the wheel.

The truck driver, Kevin Roper, has pled not guilty to the charges of death by auto and assault by auto. Roper was traveling 65 mph in a 55 mph zone when he crashed into the limo van.

The crash took place on June 7.
