New York Designer Haleh Nematzadeh is suing Yoko Ono for allegedly stealing design ideas used in Ono’s “1969-2012” menswear collection. Nematzadeh has based the lawsuit on hand-drawn images that she submitted to Opening Ceremony, now featuring Ono’s clothing line.
Ono states that she based her line on drawings made for late husband John Lennon, but Nematzadeh isn’t buying it. The lawsuit will be stopped in its tracks if Yoko Ono produces the drawings, but so far, no evidence has been provided.
